How to Increase Your Power in Life and Impact Future Generations
We all want to increase our power in this world. Two ways to do this is to get married and have children.
CHILDREN
By having children, we gain more power in life by how we raise our children. When we have children, how they turn out is a reflection of our parenting. A child’s first and biggest impact and knowledge in this world comes from their parents. Besides having an impact on this world by what we do, we can also have an impact through what our children do.
Our children can also impact this world by how they parent their children and what their children accomplish. Depending on how we parent in life we can have a positive impact in this world for several generations after we are no longer around. By having children, we significantly increase the amount of power we have in life
The German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche discusses this in his masterpiece philosophy book “Thus Spake Zarathustra.” In this book he discusses the need for us to evolve as humans by attaining more power. Speaking of children and marriage, he states:
“Not only onward shalt thou propagate thyself, but upward. For that purpose, may the garden of marriage help thee! A higher body shalt thou create, a first movement, a spontaneous rolling wheel- a creating one shalt thou create.”
MARRIAGE
Having a functional and stable marriage is the best environment to raise a child in. Afterall, children prefer stability as they are developing and don’t quite understand the world. Having a functional marriage allows the child to live a well-balanced life and thrive. This is why Nietzsche said, “may the garden of marriage help thee.”
By viewing marriage and raising children in such a way, you may actually take them more seriously and solemnly. Being a great spouse and parent becomes more of a duty and obligation “rather than just another task.”
